tldr; You're using beta software from a small Stockholm company called Ano Instruments AB. It may break. Don't use it to do anything illegal or abusive. Your content (messages, files, channels) is still yours — we host and sync it on our servers so your team can use it. Your Claude Code usage runs on your own Anthropic account, so their costs and their rules apply there. We provide Ano as-is with no warranties, with limited liability. Swedish law applies.
These terms govern your access to and use of Ano during the pre-launch beta. By signing up for the waitlist or using Ano, you agree to them. If you don't, don't use the product.
1. Who we are
tldr; Ano is made by Ano Instruments AB, a Swedish company. When we say "we" or "Ano" below, that's who we mean.

2. The product
tldr; Ano is early beta software. Things will break, change, or disappear. Anything we say on the website is where we're headed, not a promise of what ships.
Ano is a team chat application with Claude Code integrated into it. During the beta, features described on this website or elsewhere are development targets, not contractual guarantees. We may add, remove, or change functionality at any time, with or without notice.
3. Eligibility
tldr; You need to be at least 16 and legally able to agree to these terms. If you're using Ano on behalf of a company, make sure you're allowed to.
You must be at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement to use Ano. If you use Ano on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.
4. Your account and credentials
tldr; You bring your own Claude Code / Anthropic account. You pay Anthropic for your own API usage. Keep your credentials secure — if someone else uses your account, that's on you.
Ano runs Claude Code under your own Anthropic account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure, for all usage costs charged by Anthropic on your account, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at if you suspect unauthorized access.
5. Acceptable use
tldr; Don't use Ano for anything illegal, for harassing or deceiving people, for spamming, for attacking other systems, or for anything Anthropic's own usage policies say no to.
You agree not to use Ano to:
- violate any law or the rights of others;
- target, deceive, harass, defraud, or harm any person or group;
- generate or distribute malware, spam, or content that infringes intellectual property rights;
- attempt to bypass security controls, reverse-engineer proprietary components, or disrupt the service;
- violate Anthropic's usage policies or the terms of any third-party service you connect through Ano.
6. Your content
tldr; Your messages and files belong to you. We host and sync them on our servers so your team can read them on every device — that's a license you give us to run the product, not ownership. You can delete them, and you're responsible for what you put into them.
You retain all rights to the content you create, send, upload, or store in Ano ("Your Content"). To operate the service, you grant Ano a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, cache, index, back up, encode, and display Your Content — and to create the derivative copies needed to sync it between your devices and your teammates, to provide search and notifications, and to otherwise run and improve the product. This license lasts as long as Your Content is in our systems and ends when you delete it (subject to a short backup-overwrite period) or close your account.
You are solely responsible for Your Content and for having the rights necessary to use it as you do. Ano does not claim ownership of Your Content.
7. Third-party services
tldr; Claude Code, MCP servers, and any other tools you plug into Ano have their own terms. Those apply on top of ours, and we're not responsible for them.
Ano integrates with third-party services, most notably Anthropic's Claude Code and any MCP servers or command-line tools you choose to install. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their handling of your data.
8. Fees
tldr; The beta is free. When we introduce paid plans later, we'll tell you first and you can choose to opt in.
Access to Ano during the beta is provided at no charge. We may introduce paid plans in the future. If we do, we will give you advance notice and you will not be charged unless you explicitly opt in to a paid plan.
9. Beta feedback
tldr; If you send us ideas or feedback, we can use them to make the product better, no strings attached.
If you send us suggestions, ideas, or other feedback about Ano, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that feedback to improve the product. You don't have to send us feedback, but if you do, this is how we treat it.
10. Termination
tldr; You can stop using Ano whenever. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we need to wind the beta down.
You may stop using Ano at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to Ano if you violate these terms, if required by law, or if we decide to discontinue the beta. Because Your Content lives on your devices, termination of the service does not, by itself, delete it.
11. No warranties
tldr; Ano is provided "as-is." We don't promise it will work, be available, or be free of bugs. Use it at your own risk during the beta.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANO IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.
12. Limitation of liability
tldr; If something goes wrong, we're not on the hook for indirect damages, lost data, or runaway AI costs. Our total liability is capped at whatever you paid us in the last 12 months — which, during the free beta, is zero. This doesn't try to limit anything the law won't let us limit.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANO WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF ANO. THIS INCLUDES, WITHOUT LIMITATION, CONSEQUENCES OF TOOL CALLS THAT CLAUDE CODE EXECUTES ON YOUR BEHALF AND ANY USAGE FEES CHARGED BY ANTHROPIC OR OTHER THIRD PARTIES.
OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR ANO WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) EUR 100.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under mandatory consumer law.
13. Your responsibility for automated actions
tldr; Claude Code can run commands, edit files, and talk to other systems on your behalf. Review what it's about to do before approving it. You're the one in the driver's seat.
Ano enables Claude Code to execute commands, modify files, and interact with external systems when you approve those actions. You are solely responsible for reviewing proposed actions before approving them and for their consequences.
14. Indemnification
tldr; If your misuse of Ano gets us sued by someone else, you cover the costs of defending against it.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ano Instruments AB from any claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your violation of these terms, your violation of any law, or your infringement of any third party's rights.
15. Governing law and disputes
tldr; Swedish law applies, and disputes are handled by the courts in Stockholm. Mandatory consumer protection rules in your home country still apply where relevant.
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or Ano will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Stockholm, Sweden. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you retain the benefit of any mandatory protections under the law of your country of residence.
16. Changes to these terms
tldr; We'll update these terms as the product grows up. If we change something material, we'll tell you ahead of time.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the date at the top. For material changes we'll notify waitlist subscribers and beta users by email before the change takes effect. Continued use of Ano after a change means you accept the new terms.
